Unfold: IIAD's Graduation Exhibition
The brief asked us to name and create a unique identity for the Indian Institute of Art and Design's 2022 graduation show. We were all divided into groups and had to pitch our ideas at every stage to go ahead. The identity had to reflect the graduating batch's feelings as "showcasers" of their work. We got to work and came up with Unfold. Fun Fact: This identity was not used during the 2022 exhibition but was put into use in 2023's graduation exhibition (my batch!)

Role: I was responsible for the identity ideation, stop motions, and some collaterals.
Duration: 4 weeks
We named the graduation show "unfold" to represent the unfolding of the graduating batch's work to the world, their parents and potential recruiters. Every student unfolded their work in their own unique way across disciplines, to show this we aimed at creating a dynamic logo to suit the uniqueness of every child's work. We used stop-motion animation as our medium to achieve the unique frames.
Once the logo was finalized, we moved onto making some collaterals in order to pitch our direction forward. Here are some of them that we as a group created.

Process
During the iteration phase, I made a stop-motion animation of cut out letters being folded and unfolded in new combinations in very frame. Upon presenting all ideas, we decided to go ahead with this one.

We tried out different ways, typefaces and cases in which "Unfold" could have been written, and then went ahead with the typeface "Neue Haas Grotesk" for it's ease of readability and the balance that it's lowercase letters created which was important for making sure unfold is readable at every stage of the folds.
